Missouri Governor Eric Greitens (shown with wife Sheena Greitens at an April event in NYC) admitted Wednesday to having an affair, but denied claims he blackmailed his also married mistress
In an audio recording which hears the conversation between the unidentified woman and her then-husband, she explains intimate details of the sexual affair
Greitens, 43, who assumed office in January 2017, had a sexual relationship with the unidentified woman in March 2015
In an audio recording of the conversation between the woman and her ex-husband, she is heard crying as she details the threatening event
The woman, while she was blindfolded, Greitens told her: 'You're never going to mention my name, otherwise, there will be pictures everywhere'
The governor proudly described himself during his campaign as a 'Navy SEAL, native Missourian and most importantly, a proud husband and father'
The woman's ex-husband spoke out on the matter after police and a media member left a voicemail on his daughter's phone
